Who were we supposed to play in 2001 the weekend after 9/11? Wasn't it Washington State? Was it supposed to be in Boulder? Can't really remember for sure. I think Wazzu was good that year too.

It was WSU, I was going to go to that game
Nope, scenic Pulllman WA.
hmm, that would have been interesting regarding our season. I think they were a good team that year, were they not?

Had the Buffs played and won that game, they would have almost certainly played Miami for the National Championship because the BCS numbers were so tight. A loss obviously would have ended that discussion.
True, but that team wasnt ready for wazzu at that point, especially at home. I had forgotten how much fortune played in that season.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know.
I think we probably would have been rolled. Our team just wasn't fast enough to compete with fast teams that year. Chris Simms' first half performance in the B12 game excluded, our D just got repeatedly burned by any team with speed. I'm pretty sure Wazzu was fast that year -- they certainly were the next year in Boulder when they blitzed us.
WTF are you talking about? We have the fastest DL/wideout CU has ever had in its storied history :rofl2::rofl2:
