Addison Gillam

2 star recruit. Looked like a player out there. Hopefully we can find some more of these types
 
That dude was flying around all over the field, making hits, getting back in pass protection. Amazing that he is only a freshman with so little HS football experience. HCMM knows talent. I am pretty sure I will be eating some crow (maybe I should eat a wing now) b/c in Duff's season prediction thread I said Gilliam could be the biggest disappointment (just b/c I thought he was being so hyped and normally LBs need some seasoning b/c they are the QB on the D.).
 
He gets my game ball. Sure, Wood and P-Rich deserve it as well. But playing well-disciplined and composed game as a TRUE freshman at ILB, it's quite an achievement. He has an untapped potential, it will be a treat watching this young man for next 4 years.

Tells me Mac knows what he is doing! He said it when he got him, fans will be very happy with him..... Ya think? Wow! He has huge upside..... man he anticipates well for a youngster. Has not even played in forever..... He just is really impressive....

I distinctly remember Jordan's play in his first game (don't remember anything else about the game). He was a difference maker, and seemed to be everywhere. Although they are not really similar players, Gillam's play was a fitting and honorable tribute to #44.
 
Who has got the gif of Gillam's sledgehammer hit?
 
While he was probably 10 pounds lighter, I was thinking ted johnson is the better comp than dizon. Impressive debut by AG, for sure.
 
I couldn't help but to notice his game either. Was he listed as the starter? I was surprised at the amount of playing time that he got. Obviously, it was well earned playing time.
 
If people doubt this staff's ability to spot talent, I have 2 words for them...Addison Gillam. BTW...**** all you who were bitching about this staff and recruiting.

Really? After 60 minutes, you're going to throw that out there? The kid played a great game and the staff has obviously done a good job preparing the kids to play. Hopefully this is just the beginning.

A little too early to be telling people 'told you so' isn't it? CSU may be the worst team we see all season.
