Projected Starters

TJ McConnell - Pass first PG who is a perfect fit for the Cats.
Stanley Johnson - Remember Aaron Gordon? SJ's better.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson - Defensive stopper who many are expecting to have breakout year.
Brandon Ashley - If not for his broken foot, many believe the Cats would have won it all.
Kaleb Tarczewski - Solid big man who will hold it down in the middle with D and rebounding.

Not many teams could lose the Pac-12 Player of the Year and the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year (who was also the #3 pick in the NBA Draft) and have a team that is expected to be better the next year. Arizona is exactly that. The team has lots of guard options off of the bench as well with Gabe York, Elliott Pitts, Kadeem Allen and Parker Jackson-Cartwright all able to provide solid minutes. Also keep an eye on Craig Victor who will spot Ashley at the four. The team actually has the depth to go 10 deep this year, but odds are that Sean Miller will stick with his traditional 8 man rotation. Expect the fight in the backcourt for minutes to be intense.

The only thing that can hold that team back is the potential for bad shooting nights. That roster has everything except jump shooting (but it has a lot of that coming off the bench).

I've heard talk that York has had a great summer and may actually push for a starting spot. I just have no idea who you sit for him. RHJ?

Maybe. But can you really sit a guy who has Lottery potential if he can develop a jump shot?

FIFY

There is something vaguely unsettling about Miller: absolutely top-notch as a recruiter, yet his teams seem to falter at key moments and he often depends on the break-out of a lesser heralded player---someone forced into a starting role by injury to a star--- to take the team on his back.

Sean may be the weakest of the three Miller brothers as a game day coach.
