our Buffs are rightfully not favored in this game. uw is very good, despite the questions about their early schedule. they have some legitimate star players and they are extremely well-coached. we will have our hands full.

defense--- we have a very tough, experienced team of vets and we are especially strong in the secondary. if our d-line can get after them, we're going to be competitive off the strength of our secondary, with a good chance to contain their pass game.

offense--on the offensive side of the ball, they are really effective up front. they don't blitz much at all. sefo has been among the best in the league at adjusting to blitzes and capitalizing. if uw sticks to form and doesn't blitz much, we'll need the accurate patient sefo early and often in this one. he's going to need another big game with his feet, too, especially to the edges.

special teams--we're going to need to avoid shatting ourselves, which has been a problem this year from time to time. uw is simply too good for us to give up cheap points and opportunities on special teams. and, kicker is going to need to hit some kicks this game.

we can win this. Kid Liver left the house this am decked out all in black and singing the fight song, fired up that he gets out of school early to head down to the game with me.

I got up this morning in my hotel room. It's gameday! Realized I didn't have my lucky Buff cup to drink coffee from. I always have coffee from my Buff cup on gameday.
Threw my **** in my suitcase, paged Uber and made the next direct flight out of FLL to DEN. Currently somewhere over the midwest at 30000 feet. I got to get home and have some coffee from my Buff mug.

The conference agenda today was total BS anyway. I'm going home to watch my Buffs with my kids. That's the way we've done it all season.

Off the bat I assumed your hotel room was in the bay area and that this was going to be a round trip. For a mug. Anyway, your actions may have single handily locked up the victory.
 
Everyone at work is coming into my office to talk about the game. They all know I bleed black and gold and have pictures and memorabilia all over the office. It is a pretty fun day with everyone coming to say they are happy for the Buffs and think they can win.

I know it will not be easy, but I have this calm quiet that came over me this morning. Feel good about tonight. I just think our D is that good. The difference in the game because I think we will shut them down and our O will be effective. I think Lindsay and Sefo have big nights running that will open up the pass. Will be able to run outside from what I can see. I think Lindsay will be a huge key to this game.

Agree with you on the keys. When that passing game opens because of the run, Sefo has to be on target on those deep balls we can't have a replay of the utah game with overthrows...we need Michigan game Sefo on the deep balls, he was dropping dimes in that game.

Rep for the office decor. I guarantee if Allbuffs toured our site, everyone would correctly identify which is my office.
 
I too am feeling that calm before the storm type of mentality.
I just feel good about this. I really do.

I have to DVR the game, son has basketball practice at 8:00, and we have to leave at 7:30 to get there in time.
I asked him if he wanted to watch the first 30 min and then the rest when we got home or if we should just wait.
He said he wanted to wait until after practice to watch teh whole thing.

Atta boy. ;)

He also wore a black out to school today. Sefo jersey, black sweats, black shoes and socks, and black gloves (it's snowing).
Not allowed to wear hats, but he has his by the door to put it on as soon as he walks in. ;)

I meant to include that! All the "pundits" are just saying UW win with no facts or reasoning!! #hottakes Cowherd did say close though, fwiw.

Cowherd and Clay Travis are the main 2 i've listened to.
