An amusing lunch time read

So, wanting to read up on the Buffs during lunch and decided to check out the Baylor game thread from the loser's perspective.
http://www.baylorfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248126

I's pretty entertaining to skim it knowing the outcome.

The stages of the thread went like this:
  • A whole lot of confidence
  • Fear of Roberson
  • Amazement at Ski
  • More confidence, poor play but still leading
  • Frustration and anger at Ski
  • Halftime - Anger at a horribly played first half, but no need to panic
  • Confusion as to why Heslip, Austin and Jackson aren't able to produce more
  • Dejection as the Bears can't seem to claw their way back to the lead, but some hope still glimmering
  • Hope turning to anger, burn the house! Fire everybody!
  • Shouts of "Colorado sucks, we should be beating them by 15!" Then more sane posters point out otherwise
  • Some respect given to the Buffs defense and Dinwiddie
  • Absolute outrage and fuel for a lynch mob to go get AJ Walton and make sure he never plays basketball again
  • Some Walton anger transferred to Coach Drew
  • Trying to brush it off with talk of it only being November

It's entertaining and 95% of the posts are 4 words or less so it goes real fast and can be skimmed and not miss much.

They think they are on the same level as Kentucky, Duke and UNC. They are a great team, but those 3 are absolutely elite.

They think they are on the same level as Kentucky, Duke and UNC. They are a great team, but those 3 are absolutely elite.

Just to fully put it in perspective, in terms of basketball tradition they are a notch above Northwestern as having among the least tradition of any "power conference" school. They've been to the NCAA Tournament 7 times total. CU, which hasn't exactly been a basketball Mecca for the most part, has been to the Big Dance 11 times.

Butler will always be top notch under Brad Stevens. Those two final fours and sweet sixteen speak for then selves.

How'd that "elite" UNC blow chunks against the elite bunch from Butler?
Carolina seems to **** the bed on games like this once every few years. Usually in the first half, and then they come close to pulling it back in the second. You could probably attribute this phenomenon to the fact that they lose lottery-level talent and leadership every other year, as they did this past season losing Barnes, Henson and Marshall. Still a highly talented team with an elite coach, despite getting beat. As Flounder said, getting beat by Butler by 11 isn't an embarrassment. Under Smith they've shown they can play far above their raw athletic limitations. Really impressed with that coach.
