got some burn tonight, only 6 minutes and racked up the fouls, but as JG said on twitter (paraphrase): "how does that look now Hendo?"

More importantly it was good to see him in and aggressive in the pre-season.

On Tuesday, Thunder star Kevin Durant praised the rookie's game: “No disrespect. I never heard of Andre before we drafted him. Once we drafted him, I went to YouTube and checked him out; athletic as they come and his rebounding is like, you know, I told one of the coaches if he was up there at 25, 30 minutes a game he could average 11, 12 rebounds a game. He has a knack for that rebounding. It’s great for us. It’s going to help us out. He keeps a lot of basketballs alive, and defensively he’s probably the best defensive rookie I’ve seen in a while. He makes it tough for me in practice. He’s definitely making me better as a player.”

Dre had nine boards (five offensive) in 17 minutes last night against the Nuggets.
 
Definitely bidding on Dre in my fantasy auction this Friday.

Knowing how much influence the superstars have in the NBA these kinds of comments from Durant are significant for a guy like Dre. He was never in danger of not making the team but if the superstar likes you coaches may be more willing to look at giving you playing time.
 
He had a very nice drive late in the game for a layup. Still needs to work on his free throws though. Wouldn't be shocked to see him get some minutes as the season goes on.
 
I initially didn't like him that much, then grew to love his game. If possible, I think he's a highly underrated Buff

Trey Burke is injured for the Jazz so Burks may have to play some PG this year.
 
So I guess Dre didn't get optioned to the D-League.

BTW Chauncey is starting for the Pistons and the Jazz exercised their 4th year option on Alec Burks

damn. was hoping he would get to go somewhere else. Maybe they let him play this year?
 
Hard to root for OKC. The Jazz I don't care much about either way. Can I root for Dre and Burks to go off and have the game finish in a tie?
 
Burks didn't start, but he's playing a lot of minutes. Leading the team with four rebounds. Dre has not played yet. Almost halftime.
 
With Burks, only question is his defense. He's certainly had a great game offensively. Too bad Dre hasn't gotten any burn.
