This happens every year, all year. The local yocals talk, pretty much, nothing but Bronco ****. Their season doesn't even begin for a week and a half, yet thats all the local guys talk about. Who gives a crap who they cut? I don't. And I have to say, I'm pretty fed up with both former Buffs, Joel and Al. They both grate on my nerves to the point where I do not listen to them anymore. As a matter of fact, I've started turning to Mike and Mike in the morning because they actually have interesting guests and talk about interesting things.
 
And once again the Denver Post's intrepid travel/food reporter John Henderson has put on his sports hat just in time to get in a couple of shots against the Buffs in his insipid column today. (I am not posting the link)

I meant to bring that up. What a douche. I cannot believe he is still employed. What he said was far worse than anything Jim Armstrong did.

Was in a hotel bar last night watching the WSU / BYU game. Some guys came in and the bartender switched the TV (without asking) to the beginning of the Bronco game. I didn't even know there was a Bronco game.

I protested and they put it back, but you should have seen these guys sweating it out because they couldn't watch the Broncos 3rd team play. I gave them some grief and they said "we got to see who is going to get cut"! I was without words.
 
It will always be Broncos first. Broncos to Colorado is what Huskers are to Nebraska. The general Colorado public doesn't care about two lousy college teams facing off. The hype around the Broncos is as big as it was since Elway was here. CU used to get a lot more attention, and the best way to get it back is to WIN!
 
I was flipping from WSU/BYU to the Broncos during commercials, but even then I kept flipping back to see if real football was back from the break. Preseason is fine - but watching a live game from your own conference is just so much better.


If I thought the imminent win would help our alumni radio personalities grow some stones for future years broadcasts I would be thrilled, but for whatever reason all of them feel the need to play fair and balanced leading up to this game. Yet somehow 9 news can almost make me start my day off by vomiting when Suzi Wargent is felaciating the stuffed sheep in studio while Chip had to sit there throwing the cold shoulder. I get rising above it - but come on. No more good feelings for this series or the sheep younger siblings of the state. I am desperate that starting this year we go foot on the gas and make this thing unbearable for CSU to extend.
 
:lol: Just got back from lunch. Was listening to Gil Whitley and John Henderson. What a joke. BTW, Whitley, who claims to have been a good friend of Eddie Crowder, picks the rammies.

Here's the deal with me. I get really sick and tired of hearing the local media pick or just talk up csu. Drew Goodman was even making a case for them eventually going to a BCS conference. Henderson said CU will be lucky to get 3 wins, for Crhist's sake. He talked about one college footbal mag, Lindy's I think, that has a "The Good, The Bad and The Outlook" deal. For CU, in "The Good," they said "We will think of something." Thing is, CU deserves the dissing. They have sucked for going on 10 years now. It is TIME TO PUT UP OR SHUT UP! I want, so badly, to see us shock some people this year and turn some heads. One thing for sure, the local radio guys know nothing about CU or its personnel.

Henderson is a Duck and the reason we lost that one 4 star WR recruit a few years back.

I don't know how Whitely ever got ON the air, that croak he calls a voice is beyond horrible. Anybody that hires him must be desperate for talent.

Yep. He knows everyone, is a "film" critic, a wine expert, played basketball on the Marine Corps team, yada, yada. The guy is full of shiat.
 
Lol I was talking to dbt, 100 ft huh, yep think I could pass that one. You should have ranted dude, the Japs gave us an ass whipping. That kid who pitched for them probably isnt 13.
