It's been a long time since the Colorado Buffaloes have seen a flurry of recruiting activity this early in the year in a long, long time. The Buffs have picked up their third commitment in two days by receiving a verbal from Southlake Carroll wide receiver Peyton Williams. This one seems to be thanks to the efforts of new wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy, who came to CU from the University of Texas and obviously still has a lot of good contacts in the state. Peyton, who is also a star on the Southlake track team, becomes the fifth recruit (of ten) to join the Buffaloes from the state of Texas.
