and a back breaking horrific interception. give Wood a half. It's not like Webb looks like the worse QB in football but he poses no, I mean virtually 0 threat for getting the ball deep. We need a spark, and we know the game is out of reach anyway.
Webb's stats for 1st half:
8 for 19 for 87 yards
You are right-forgot to mention that-not just backbreaking but a stupid throw-get it out of bounds and live for another down.and a back breaking horrific interception. give Wood a half.
No. please god no. let's not ruin him.Dillon. Dillon. Dillon.
I saw him dressed but I am 100% against throwing him in this season at all. Especially against teams that are going to run over our line. Don't need him to get hurt worse. Let him take the offseason to bulk up more, keep studying film this season and come out firing in spring practice.Dillon. Dillon. Dillon.
I'm talking practice reps. There is a good chance Wood and Hirsch don't know the offense very well. That dude has had more reps than necessary, going back to his KU days, to prove that he can lead a team to victory. He is on his way from what someone else said the other day on AB, to being the losingest QB of all time in the BCS or maybe even major college football.
Get him the **ck out. This season is over and Embree's job is potentially on the line. Put Wood in and sink or swim with him the rest of the year.
Yup, cause webb has been in the offense for a year and took every significant snap during the spring. oh wait, that's Wood.I'm talking practice reps. There is a good chance Wood and Hirsch don't know the offense very well.
Embree showed he is a clown tonight. Take the opportunity to give others a chance to show what they can do. Too bad EB and Brownie don't have back-ups to sub for them. They all suck.
And this is a perfect reason why the WCO is a horrible choice for college. The backup QB is miles behind the starter for knowledge/development/implementation, and even then, it takes the starter TONS of time to just be competent.I hate to harp on it, but the WCO is complicated. QB's need reps more reps, reps and then some more reps. If you remember back to the JK/GB days, people always wondered JK stayed in when the game was out of reach, he was injured, or just plain wasn't getting it done. The answer is JK got all the reps. I would bet JWebb gets all the reps. He will play the whole game, no matter what the score is.
