Anyone catch the Henderson piece on Buffs4Life

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Buffs4Life seems to be doing great work. According to those interviewed for this article, the decision to hire Embree was not influenced by Buffs4Life (which isn't to say that individual members didn't make their feelings known).

Still a big supporter of B4L. Their name has certainly been dragged through the mud here on AllBuffs. I never really agreed with it, but everyone has a right to voice their opinion.

I'm glad to hear DWest is running things there. He was a great Buff. :gobuffs:

When the standing president of your organization is openly trashing the school and team for which he played fans will do that to your whole group. Their issue is they couldn't get him to shut up.

You should check it out. They're doing some great things.

From the article: Buffs4Life is a fund-raising organization that helps former Colorado athletes who've fallen on hard times. In their golf tournament two weeks ago, they raised more than $100,000 for the wife and three kids of Bryan Stoltenberg, West's teammate who died Jan. 4 from injuries suffered in a car accident.

They flew out Chancellor Lee Adams, the disabled son of incarcerated ex-teammate Rae Carruth, to provide funding. They're also helping former basketball player Julie Hoehing, who's fighting cancer, and Marcellous Elder, an ex-teammate who suffered a stroke this past spring.

if anybody other than Hendo were the author, I'd consider it.
 
He got this one right---B4L was unfairly dragged through the mud because of the actions of a select few (McCartney, Klatt---you wonder if his rants in the aftermath of Embree's firing had anything to do with him leaving the Fan, CJ---who made comments about lack of talent to CBS, and to a lesser extent Big Al).....

But you've got to admit, 04, that Henderson's articles regarding CU tend to look more like a personal agenda than journalism. It's not that they're not charitable. It goes beyond that. I'm still not over his late-recruiting cycle slam of CU players that could not be considered timely by any objective journalistic standard.
