Better turnout then I expected. I didn't interact with them much, but they seemed pretty good. There was one group of students who talked smack to our tailgate before the game, but that is to be expected. Then there was one drunk student wandering the concourse telling everyone to 'Bear Down' (what is that exactly?) - but the ones in our section were nice enough, although they cleared out pretty quick into the third.

I would put them above Oregon, UW in my personal rankings.
 
Arizona moved way up for me yesterday. They're pretty close to here and a lot of Arizona grads live in Colorado, but they had a really good showing for a 2-win team playing a 1-win team on a day with bad weather. Also, they didn't cause any problems and seemed pretty friendly.

My Pac-12 fan rankings so far among the teams we have played:

1. Cal
2. Washington State
3. Stanford
4. Arizona
5. USC
6. Washington
7. Oregon
8. Arizona State

They were fine. Really dumb though. They were doing the U of A chant when they were on offense. Also the ones behind me we yelling that one of our players was faking an injury when him going down actually benefited them.
 
the fans near us were cracking me up. Every time we did something bad they would say something like "their kicker is worse then ours". I did hear that their basketball team has as many wins as their football team as well. They know their team sucks, but still showed up and supported them so not bad IMO.
 
That bottom three of Nik's list is some strong competition. Washington's trolling capabilities were very solid for a program that has slightly less tradition than CU and endured a winless season very recently.
 
Meh. The ones sitting by me were good but when I was walking up with my grandpa, dad, and brother they told us to get the hell out of here Buff fans when Speedy scored his third TD.
 
The Arizona fans around my seats were really annoying, and seemed semi-clueless. I wouldn't have them ranked that high based on my experience.

Also, I surprisingly didn't mind the Oregon fans & would have them way further up the list.

Their fans showed that they are a basketball school.
 
We had a group of 4 sitting right behind us and they were ok. Older dudes (in other words they were my age) so I did not expect them to be obnoxious. They were pretty pissed about where their team was and were decent to talk to. I think a roadie to Tuscon will be what it takes to judge but so far so good.
 
What the crap was the 'bear down' they were yelling and had printed on their shirts?
 
I sat next to a 'zona grad. But she was actually cheering for the Buffs since her husband and two kids are CU grads and her other son is a senior at CU. :wink2:

They seemed fine. The only person I had any issues with was a woman in the bathroom who said, "It's 75 degrees in Tucson today - much nicer than Boulder!" Weather smack is so pathetic.

The day after the 1926 season's opening game, Salmon was driving with three friends when he missed a treacherous curve and spun over a ravine. Although others were not seriously injured, he suffered a serious spinal cord injury and died on October 18, 1926, at St. Mary's Hospital. His final message to his teammates, given to coach McKale, who visited Salmon everyday in the hospital, was "Tell them...tell the team to bear down."

At Salmon's funeral service, a three-mile line of cars snaked from downtown Tucson to the cemetery.
A year later the student body voted to make "Bear Down" the official slogan of all Wildcat teams and in 1939 the State of Arizona issued a proclamation declaring the phrase "Bear Down" to be the sole and exclusive property of the University of Arizona.

Appreciate your rankings. Interestingly enough, I think Cal and WSU also have the least hostility towards each other as fans/teams go in the old PAC 10. Strange. It makes me wonder what would happen if the two were ever combined:
