Arizona Forums...this is the best thing I've seen in a long time

If you look at comparable competition, they should be concerned:
1) Lost to Stanford at home by 24, we beat them on the road
2) Lost to UCLA by 21, we beat UCLA by 10 (Rosen factor here, but many folks don't look that deeply)
3) Lost to USC at home by 34, we lost to USC on the road by 4 with our back up QB

I agree that they should be concerned...I would be too.

In all reality, this SHOULD be a blowout win.
I have a co-worker who's an AZ alum and big football follower, he's going to give me a write up on their team and their take on this game at some point this week.

They are decimated with injuries, too.

Maybe it is a good thing that UA took UW to OT in Tucson. They are capable of pulling off a big upset at home (Buffs are 15-point favorites). Washington, back on Sept. 24, was a 16-point favorite against the cats and obviously didn't cover. Mac will make sure the boys do not regard this game as a gimme.

We should be concerned with RR pulling some crazy unexpected schemes, that's what he does. Especially when they have nothing more to lose?

That's the perfect outcome to keep the team focused. I'm so happy they played UW before the really got rolling to help us that way!

Should be concerned. They've got great team speed and athletes. They've got a creative, successful head coach who made successful late-game adjustments to win against the Buffs last year. They've got nothing to play for (which can go either way). Got to take care of business.

My suspicion is that they're playing out the string and won't wake up to play well again until the finale against ASU, but you can't count on that, play to their level, and give them hope in the 2nd half.

This year's Buffs, against equal or lesser athleticism, has destroyed teams. If we come out focused, I see no prob w the Kitties. But weve seemed unfocused last 2 games...gotta correct that!

I think Sefo has been off while the OL ran into 2 straight DLs it couldn't handle. If you look at the games CU has struggled in, the common factor is that each of those teams had an excellent DL.

I agree. And AZs DL is small...so I've heard.

That weird, hybrid "3-3-5" they run is always good for some confusion and a few sacks. I remember last year pretty well and they really struggled to get pressure on Sefo until the very end of the game. They do a good job neutralizing Oregon speed with that defense but I don't think they can match our combo of size and speed and our much improved OL. I actually think this might be the game to highlight Irwin in the passing game lol.

I haven't watched a single minute of Arizona football this year so I don't really know what to expect, at least offensively. I was boxscore watching their terrible performance against a doo doo Grambling team at the start of the year tho and I agree that we better win this one.

My concern is they grow a brain and fire Rich Rod and Hire JMFL.:eek::eek::eek:

CU has improved, but not to the point where we can assume we will beat a P12 opponent. AZ has plenty of athletes and CU needs to bring their A game.
