Arizona State -13.5

I'll be in Vegas this week. I think I'll make a bet. Hate to bet against the Buffs, but that's crazy.

Will be interested to see how much this line moves. If most negative are correct, it should widen substantially. I expected wider line. Hope they are correct.

Lines move all the time as the week goes on but even so they never move more than 3 or 4 points either way do they? I can't see it getting up to where I would think it should be, which is in the 24-28 point range.

Our (ASU) scores are a bit misleading. Taylor Kelly hasn't really gotten into a groove yet and doesn't seem to have a ton of faith in his new receivers. Strong, Smith, Foster, no problem, but the new ones I don't think he trusts yet.

The defense is super young. 3 true freshmen started. Most of the top reserves are also freshmen and sophomores. They've been a bit shaky against the run at times against inferior opponents. New Mexico ran for 200 yards on them (albeit they're triple option and it took them almost 60 attempts) and Weber State ran for 150. They haven't been shedding blocks up front well. I still think we'll win and all, but ASU isn't nearly as good as it was last year and will struggle to get off the field this year, especially early on.

I'm curious to see what type of game planning OCBL will roll out on Saturday for the SunDevils. What our WR's were able to do against CSU and UMass aren't likely to happen against ASU.

You'll probably try to do what most teams are going to do against ASU. Run it off tackle a lot and use a bunch of max protect blocking schemes since ASU will want to blitz a ton.

We'll make you look very good. Unless you're trying to get your starters more experience, they will be on the bench by the second quarter.

Actually think we can have success in the passing game. We just won't stop DJ Foster at all.

Waltby, are ASU fans happy with Kelly? He seems wildly inconsistent to me.

A lot of our starters are the ones that need experience.

Overall? Yes, but he clearly has been off both games. I suspect they may be asking him to do too much and he's probably overthinking a bit. His reads have seemed slower than you'd expect and I think he's missed a few open guys for easy scores/big gains when under pressure. Still, he's a really good quarterback. Just hasn't been hitting close to all cylinders yet this season.

Also, if you guys have a high end pass rusher, Tyler Sulka, the RT, still seems like a bit of a liability, even though he's a returning starter.

didn't they run for like 425 Saturday night ? if that is correct they could run for 1/2 a thousand on this defense

DJ Foster is really ****ing good though. Nightmares as he attacks our edges.

Geeze... Colorado is going to make me a betting man yet . . . Could have made millions of of 10 bucks if I bet against colorado's line every week. I want to take a look and see how many times over the last 5 years we've covered

Anyone know the best place to place bets online that don't require any ridiculous buy ins and that will pay out quickly?

I have never won when I have bet against the Buffs, regardless of sport. Maybe if I place a $20 bet at MGM, they'll actually cover just because karma won't let me win money off of it. I'll be out $20, but we'll all feel better about the team!!

Hurry up, GoonieBuff. Get this line into the Allbuffs sports book.
