As Buffs, are we any happier than being 53rd

Old Dominion at 39. That's pretty funny. I live in Hampton Rhodes - most people here don't even know they have a football team, much less a FBS team that won their bowl game last year.
And what the hell is Oregon happy about?

I'm not sure we should be behind CSU.
I think if you took each fan of each program and added up all the individual happiness quotients, CU would far outnumber CSU. But, on average, CSU has to be pretty happy right now, overall. Plus, their target for which they will achieve happiness is a lot more attainable than CU fans' target. They're happy winning 7 or 8 games and going to a minor bowl. We have higher aspirations.

They're only happy when they beat CU. that doesn't happen very often.

I don't think that ESPN regrets any of its college football deals other than LHN.

NFL fuels the mothership, but college football is good for them.

If UT is in the top 10 this year at the end of the season they wouldn't regret a second of it either.
