so 9 p.m. Boulder time ?
Who is responsible? Isn't it Tad's job to schedule?Ugh.
On a Monday night, no less. I'm considering just taking the next day off work.
I love that CU is on TV and getting a lot of national attention. But man, 11:00 PM tipoff? Whose crazy idea was this?

No 11 p.m. Boulder time....1 a.m. Eastern
I can rationalize taking a vacation day for just about any reason. "just 'cause I wanna", is as good a reason as any.
As to whether this is a good west coast/East coast time. It's not. It's a bad start time for both coasts. The only folks that will see this at a halfway normal hour are the folks in Hawaii. 8:00 PM start time on the islands, brah.
It's ESPN. They do this every year recently and frankly it's a blast.
Is this one of those games in the window where ESPN has 24 straight hours of live games?
Game starts at midnight here. DVR time as scores that late will not be in morning paper.

It is actually 7pm. Maui is 4 hours behind colorado. ( i am assuming the other islands are the same or at least the ones where people actually live)
ESPN assigned us this game for one reason and one reason only, it fit best into their schedule. It's honor to be playing in this event. 5 years ago it would've been a pipe dream to be playing in such an event, against a relatively good opponent (playing Bruce Pearl's team is better than saying it's Auburn).Although it sucks for TV exposure, given the good turnout they had for Gameday in Boulder, it's possible that ESPN assigned us the crappy time based on the belief that we'd be able to turn out a better crowd at that time compared to some other schools. Its part of the crap we have to deal with as a result of being considered good but not elite. Ten more years of this run and several Sweet 16 or better appearances and we'd get a better slot.
Unfortunately the crowd could also suck if we have weather that evening, which is not unheard of that time of year. I might be looking into a hotel room for the evening. Crappy part is you likely won't even be able to hit the bars after the win even if you stay up there.

Why can't people just be happy with this? It's better to play than not to play in this event. Not just speaking to this specific post, but you can really complain about everything. Sorry were not at the Duke/Kentucky level yet, where we're playing in the Champions Classic.
