August 4 Practice Report

Just got home from the open practice. A few observations from practice, nothing to surprising:

1. Steven Montez is and deserves to be the starting QB. Missed a few but for the most part very efficient.
2. The starting o-line is Kaiser, Tonz or Sherman, Pursell, Lynott, Haigler. Morreti was on the filed but his ankle was taped and he didn't do much.
3.Nate (the animal) Landman needs to see the field a lot this year.
4. Receivers are deep. Viska, Winfree, Ento, J-mac starters but Nixon, Jackson, Bell, Brown will see the field a lot as well. Freshmen look talented but are clearly behind the others.
5. Travon and Evans are currently splitting time with the ones. Alex and Bish with the 2's.
6. Antwine looks like he could see the field this year physically.

That's my 2 cents.

I hope landman takes over one of the starting jobs. Great instincts, good size and quickness and he showed a lot of fire on the field last year.
For me that's number 1,2,3 and 4 on checklist for most important traits for a linebacker
