What an arse! Of course the kids said they are the best coaches they've had-most of them have either only had HS coaches or HS coaches plus Hawk. Bar couldn't get much lower.
 
Ah. This is simply the public vote of confidence. I certainly won't read into it much. Although I would have preferred if he would have said that we have a tradition of excellence and we fully expect that Embree will get us there.
 
Benson should shut his pie hole and get the **** out of the way on things he doesn't know a damn thing about.

The proper answer: "I trust Mike Bohn to make all decisions regarding the head coaches for our CU athletic programs."

wrong... benson shouldnt have a ****ing word to say about it... he speaks for the whole system... distephano should be the only official who should be allowed to speak on the issue because he represents the campus

Meh. Of course he was going to say this.

We've got 9 games to go, the vast majority of which we'll lose by 40, 50 and 60 points. I highly doubt Embree survives 0-12.

Oh, and **** Benson.

Benson's got to be careful here. He tried to avoid answering the question directly, but his response (which I suspect was rehearsed) sent the message that he supports another year of this ****.

fwiw, when you dissect the quote from the players it reads as follows: "We have a staff filled with excellent position coaches." I have no argument with that.
 
Vote of confidence or not, he should shut the **** up. This is the same jackwad that wasn't going to interfere with Bohn's decision to retain or not retain Hawkins the extra year either.

I guess we should praise Embree and staff for only losing by 55. Amazing coaching effort on Saturday. This followed these crackerjack coaches managing to give both Colorado State and Sacramento State close games. I really think Embree is on his was to Pac-12 Coach of the Year at the least, maybe the national honor.
 
Honestly I think everyone here and in boulder and that supports CU football should understand and expect that Embree will be our coach at least through December. Any changes before then should be seen as a huge step in the right direction by our administration. If 0-12 is our record at the end of the season and embree and co still have a job, then that will be the death of this program. CU has never finished without a win. Ever. The worst coaches in our history have been able to win at least 1 game in a season. We need something to give and the sooner it happens the better. This experiment failed. I like the guy a lot, but he cannot coach at the D1 level. If Benson and Distephano end up tying Bohn's hands again he needs to make sure that the public knows if he wants to save himself.

Clearly, the admins. do not get it. This is every bit as pathetic as Dr. Phil saying the Buffs were competitive after HaLk's 4th year. Here is the problem: They think they are way smarter than us, so if they say it, we'll believe it. What a joke.

What a f-wad. Programs taking their football seriously fire coaches who do this. These people know nothing about building a first class BCS program...

They've made us a laughing stock.

If the team is 0-11, better make the damn announcement before the Utah game to be 100% certain that the idots don't use the "rivalry momentum from a win" as justification for another year.
 
The most ridiculous quote by Benson was among the quotes highlighted by Carolina, but needs to be called out numerous times to show how out of touch Benson really is:

What a ****ing idiot. I want to know how we could possibly be doing any worse. ****ing moron.
 
I'll definitely be asking about Embree's status if he goes 1-11 or 0-12 this year on Thursday. Apparently Benson doesn't care about his university being embarrassed on a national level.
 
Something epic needs to happen. A firing, an announcement, something. The recruiting class will dissipate, we already are a laughing stock. Embree, make a call to former Buffs and pull this thing out.
