Biggins looks at committed Elite-11 QBs

The West Coast produces the best quarterbacks, and there's always intense competition for the elite of the elite -- such as the guys who get invited to the Elite 11 camps.

Many top quarterbacks already have committed to Pac-12 teams, and ESPN Recruiting's Greg Biggins has chatted with them to find out the reasoning behind their decisions.

Here's what he has to say.
Shane Dillon (El Cajon, Calif./Christian)
College: Colorado

Dillon's decision to commit to the Buffs was a mild surprise because he had Ohio State as his leader for over a year. The Buckeyes had offered Dillon after he camped in Columbus prior to his junior season and looked to be in a good place, but worries of potential sanctions along with a great unofficial visit to Boulder sealed the deal for Colorado.
Zach Kline (Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley)
College: California

Kline was the earliest quarterback in this group to commit, choosing the Bears following the first game of his junior season. Kline had camped with Cal for several years and built a great relationship with coach Jeff Tedford. He was always planning to commit upon being offered, but even he was surprised when the offer came so soon.
Jeff Lindquist (Mercer Island, Wash./Mercer Island)
College: Washington

Lindquist was always going to one of two schools, the hometown Huskies or Stanford, where his older brother plays baseball. It was a closer race than some realize, but at the end of the day, Lindquist's desire to stay close to home and his strong relationship with Steve Sarkisian won out.
Cyler Miles (Denver/J.K. Mullen)
College: Washington

Many felt Miles was close to a lock to stay local and play for the new staff at Colorado. When the Buffs took a commitment from Dillon, that option closed, although Miles said he always wanted to leave the state to play his college ball anyways. It came down to the Dawgs and Tennessee but Huskies quarterback coach Doug Nussmeier did a great job here and UW landed its second Elite 11 quarterback.
Jake Rodrigues (Rocklin, Calif./Whitney)
College: Oregon

After a strong showing at the Stanford Nike Camp, Rodrigues' stock started to take off, but Oregon was the only one school he really wanted to play for. When coach Chip Kelly offered Rodrigues a scholarship while on an unofficial visit, he jumped on it. USC offered the signal-caller a few weeks ago, but Rodrigues is rock solid in his commitment to the Ducks.
Travis Wilson (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente)
College: Utah

Wilson's recruitment was similar to Houston's in that his desire was always to leave the west region. He narrowed things down to Utah and Washington, but when Lindquist picked the Dawgs, Wilson jumped on the offer from the Utes soon after. Utah was Wilson's favorite unofficial visit, he built a strong relationship offensive coordinator Norm Chow, and regardless of what Lindquist did, the Utes were going to be tough to beat.
