Breaking down the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors - Rivals - free

Looks like Hawaii has a 4 star QB and a 4 star RB. This could be a real test for the defense - it will be interesting.

Stars mean absolutely nothing when it was 5 years ago. Neither have shown anything at this level.
Totally true, This kids been working out in prison for four years and is pissed. What could possibly go wrong. Also, make sure to ignore that last year in the opener a similar kid ran all over us.

That's a totally separate argument and you know it.

Sorry I don't care what Wittek was rated as a 18 year old, he's a 5th year senior who hasn't shown anything at this level and nothing in this scheme. Not seeing where there's a 4* RB, the starter was a 5.6 who signed with UW.

Rippy was a 4*. Wright was a 4*. None of that matters at this time in their career.
Do you remember similar comments about Dee Hart? The D needs to be ready.

You're right that until we see them play we know nothing. But somehow you're still automatically declaring that they're garbage until proven otherwise.

You have to think that the loss of all 3 of their coordinators from last year along with some other coaches is definitely going to be in our favor, especially in week one.

I think this is a fair assessment. Functional turnover of the staff can be a good thing, but there's something to continuity as well. That's a lot of turnover for one season.

How many coaches did we turn over last year?

We replaced one and added one. Is that right?

The one we replaced was a functional loss with a good gain. I think the article said that Hawaii replaced 50% of their staff, included both coordinators. That might be a gain in the long term, I don't know, but I've got to believe that it's not going to help their cause in the first game.

The right number of coaches, but just not the right two. I would have said we needed one more and added Jeffcoat but I am hearing more and more how the kids relate to him and like him and am giving him another year to see what happens on the field before I go all Slider on him.

Toby.....still no clue how he is still here. If special teams seems slightly improved or even the same this year I would have to say he exceeded my expectations.

Does anyone know who CBS sent to announce our game?

THURSDAY ON THE AIR: Thursday night’s game, scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. local time (11 p.m. MDT, 1 a.m. on the East Coast), will be televised by CBS Sports Network, with Carter Blackburn handling the play-by-play, Aaron Taylor providing color commentary and Jenny Dell on the sidelines. Handling the call on 850 KOA will be Mark Johnson, with former Buff quarterback Charles Johnson providing analysis and Justin Adams reporting from the sidelines.

Tini never gets worked up or worried about anything. He just responds to every slightly negative post for the hell of it.

Ignore FTW!

I did used to like the feature where I at least knew someone was attempting to post something. Every once in a while, 'Tini contributed good information. The crazy stalking posts you describe make it worth it even if I would prefer to know he was at least trying to say someting if I were in the mood to imbibe.

Well Hawaii was a garbage team last year. Plus coaching replacements

Sorry not gonna get worked up over a QB whose best option was Hawaii and was denied from Transferring to Texas and a player who was locked up on bad information.
