Apparently, while our Buffs were breaking the longest P5 road losing streak against Top 25 opponents, winning for the first time in program history in Tempe, overcoming injuries to some of the team's best players, becoming 1 of only 3 teams in the nation to have two wins over Top 25 opponents, and positioning itself to challenge for a bowl and maybe the South by raising the record to 3-1 (1-0)... there was a bigger story.

Mel Tucker wore shorts to coach a football game.

Yes, that's the part of last night's game that got CU a front page article on CBS Sports College Football.

Which is actually fine. Brilliant publicity move by Tucker, whether it was intentional for that or not. The shorts got CU a lot of extra attention.

Newsflash: it's hot in the desert, and smart people wear ****ing shorts when it's hot.

Also, this is the National sports media trying to figure out ways to give a **** about the Pac 12. Thanks, Larry Scott.

I am all for more HCMT shorts games and him being mic'd up about it. If you've gotten this deep, you've already seen the video.

I was a little concerned he wore a long sleeve sweatshirt the last two games and it was pretty warm in Boulder. Glad he made the switch
