Broadcast for the games in Paris

Hi Buffaloes, UVA fan here. We just wrapped up our own European basketball tour playing the same AMW France team you guys play tomorrow and Thursday in Paris. I wanted to share a link to a live broadcast of the game, done by two French broadcasters. I think their video is broken, but the audio *should* work.

They speak in both French and English, and if you log in to justin.tv and chat with them in English, you're likely to get them to speak English even more. We UVA fans had a pretty good time listening to them the past two days - they can be hard to understand at times, but overall do a pretty good job. Hope you guys are able to enjoy as well, and have fun listening to them try to pronounce your players' names!

Game 1: Wed., August 15, 7 p.m. (11 a.m. MT) vs. AMW France Elite ''Pro A'' All-Stars; Stade Pierre de Coubertin (Paris, France).

Game 2: Thu., August 16, 7 p.m. (11 a.m. MT) vs. AMW France Elite ''Pro A'' All-Stars; Stade Pierre de Coubertin (Paris, France).

Game 3: Sat., August 18, 8 p.m. (Noon, MT) vs. Optima Ghent; Sportarena Tolhuis (Gent, Belgium).

Game 4: Sun., August 19, 2 p.m. (6 a.m. MT) vs. Gembo; Sporthal Luisbekelaar, Borgerhout (Antwerp, Belgium).

Game 5: Mon., August 20, 6 p.m. (10 a.m. MT) vs. Rotterdam Challengers; Topsportcentrum (Rotterdam, Netherlands).
 
Doesn't seem to be working. Thats too bad, was really hoping to see our new Buffs woop on some Euro teams.

I'm back to check in - looks like your games are like ours, originally scheduled for 7:00 PM Paris time, but got moved to 8:30 PM (12:30 PM MT). At least that's what I'm pretty sure the EuroJam Paris Twitter feed says here: https://twitter.com/EurojamParis/status/235680590693814272

Check back around 12:30 MT and see if they've got the audio feed going.

Also - don't expect any sort of 'official' broadcast. As far as we could tell, it seemed like it was just two French guys who like basketball and wanted to broadcast. They have a lot of fun during the game, so don't go too hard on em.

Now, what do we have to do to get home-and-home series with UVA for hoops and football? Would seem to be a good fit for both ADs.

No idea about bball, but football would be a tough sell. We're having to shed 1 non-conference game per season since we're adding Pitt and Syracuse to the ACC next year, moving to a 9 game conference schedule.

There was a bit of an uproar on our board yesterday trying to speculate which non-conference game(s) would be dropped each season, especially since our season tickets forecasted a date with Auburn to start the 2015 season which may not happen anymore =\ (allegedly the tickets were printed before the Pitt and Cuse addition was final).

It's safe to say UVA's series with UT-San Antonio is out the door. Here's how UVA's future OOC looks, as of today (Daily Progress)

2013: @ Penn State, VMI, Ball State
2014: UCLA, Richmond, Kent State
2015: @ UCLA, William & Mary
2016: Open
2017: Stanford
2018: @ Stanford

Basically, with you guys already having two home/homes with Pac-12 opponents looming, it's very unlikely we'll be seeing each other in football outside of a bowl game anytime soon. It's a shame, I've been pushing for a CU/UVA series for years.
