Brock Berglund released at KU by Fat Charlie

Now Berglund is potentially suing Kansas to get his release from his scholarship.

This part of the system needs to be changed and if the NCAA won't do it then the law has to. It is absolutely ridiculous that a program can chase a guy off, no matter what the reason is, take away his scholly, then deny or control where he can go.

There are kids who based on their actions deserve to get cut from programs and I'm not going to argue for or against Brock. Simply put, if they do get cut, they are cut, the school no longer has the right to control their movement after, that's a question for the kid and the new school.

Couldn't agree more.

Could not agree more. If you don't want the kid, why should you have any say where he goes? Just let hiim be.

I just wonder if there's more to this story. Ever since brock was releasing press announcements for what he had for lunch while being recruited, he's seemed sort of like a spoiled headcase. I was not sad to see him go somewhere else.

I agree he should be allowed to go wherever he wants now, but there's got to be more to this story. I doubt this law suit goes anywhere...

Colorado passes on this kid due to character issues and the fact he was kicked out of his high school. News papers go with the story of: Four Star QB choses KU over CU after coaching change. It turns out the red flags on this kid were legit, and the staff made the right call.

the fat man didn't seem cranky, all of his points were valid. glad he didn't end up at cu. valor seems like a place full of prima donna's.

Brock will be pushing Russell Lovett and Steve Culclip for PT in the annals of Colorado kids who....well, weren't.

It's weird, because after we ****canned Hawkins, Berglund came out publicly and stated his commitment was firm. Apparently, Embree went to talk to him and make sure everything was good. About a week later, he's going to Kansas and everybody is like "WTF just happened?" It's obvious that something happened that turned Embree off.

Didn't he have some sort of "interlude" in the locker room, allegedly?
