THEY WENT TO DISNEY WORLD – Magic, how does a team come back from feeling like their season has ended to play and win yet another game? Magic. Magic does not exist. This time the disappointing Colorado Buffaloes season ended in actuality.

Across town from Disney World for the second time in four years the Buffaloes were finished off in Orlando. In a season that featured a more ‘waiting-in-line-at-Space-Mountain’ feel to it then riding Space Mountain the Buffaloes were stabbed by the Knights 79-74 in their final roam of 2016-17.

Derick White did Derick White things, everyone else was not very good. It was like every game of the season except it happened in the NIT this time.

Folks, it wasn’t fun and you didn’t miss much, I honestly don’t know why you’re still reading this but because you are here are some things that happened.

Colorado went down 10 early, cut it to a reasonable margin by halftime.

The Buffs came charging back in the second half and cut it to two with under 15 seconds left. White of course, led the comeback.

White gave himself a shot to tie it with under 10 seconds left on a good look three, he missed.

Josh Fortune in his last collegiate game wasn’t half bad, Wes Gordon and Xavier Johnson in the same situation were just okay-ish.

The effort of the Buffs defense and rebounding remained nonexistent, as Tad Boyle tore out what remained of his hair after this year.

B.J. Taylor had 26 for UCF and the seven-foot-six Tacko Fall was a menace for the Knights.

On a positive note, White had 30 on 11-of-21 with six rebounds, six assists, two blocks and a steal in his final game at Colorado, a shame that his one and only, albeit spectacular year, was wasted on a team that finished their season on ESPN 3.
