The new jumbotron will consist 700 feet of high definition LED screens. The CU logo in the middle will include a camera for an additional center court angle. It will also contain state-of-the-art video processing and graphic interfacing capabilities.

The new video board has a substantial completion date of July 17, 2017. The existing boards, that were installed in 2009, on the corners of The Keg will remain intact.

From CUBuffs.com:

“We are excited to continue to improve upon the fan experience for all of our events at the Coors Events Center,” said Matt Biggers, Chief Marketing Office for the Buffaloes. “These new state of the art video boards will allow our fans to enjoy CU Athletics’ events in a whole new way. We are excited to partner with Daktronics to bring the entertainment value to a whole new level for Buffs fans.”

This is just one of the many improvements that Athletic Director Rick George and his staff have made to the Coors Event Center. Last year, they added a Bose sound system and in 2015 the arena underwent energy upgrades in which they reduced the energy consumption by 44 percent.
