The 6-foot-3, 195-pound dual-threat quarterback is a class of 2018 prospect. Blake’s older sister Brooke, swims at Stanford his mom is a former Cardinal All-American swimmer, Lori Heisick, and his dad Steve is the most prolific passer in Stanford history. Stenstrom senior played for the Bears and 49ers before hanging them up.

The now Colorado commit is actually the backup at Valor as Michigan commit Dylan McCaffrey starts for them. Meaning Stenstrom has played little in his sophomore and junior seasons of high school. In total he has thrown for 662 yards on 88 attempts, 61 completions. Over the past two seasons he has 305 rushing yards on 45 carries, piecing together 13 touchdowns between his arms and legs.

Stenstrom has yet to receive another offer but has interest from Duke, Michigan, Stanford, Wake Forest and Washington. The quarterback was recruited by co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini. He is the third commit of the 2018 class and joins redshirt freshman Steven Montez, freshman Sam Noyer and class of 2017 three-star recruit Tyler Lytle as the future of the Buffs under center.
