Buffs getting attention in SEC country

I don't remember if it was a Saturday Night Live skit or some other comedy show I saw back in the day about a scared straight program. Anyway, I laughed so damn hard I had tears coming out my eyes. :D

But, yeah. I guess it’s just nice to be remembered.

I did put a less than minimal effort into seeing if this was already posted.

Not only is this thing getting Miami’d here, I have received this from several friends now…

They picked the right guy.

Matt Mitchell is the funniest of their bunch.

I have memories of being a kid in H Town and nearly having a heat stroke walking around the neighborhood on Halloween in a King Kong costume, with the mask nearly melting onto my face. I remember praying to make the playoffs in HS FB, not really just to be in the playoffs, but to play a FB game where I didn't lose 12 pounds of fluid sweating.

Where did you go to school in H Town?

My wife makes our kids costumes, because the insulated ones you can buy online just don't work here.

As far as sweating during football games goes, my brother had to quit the UH football team as an offensive lineman. We have some sort of genetic deal where we sweat way too much in heat. My dad, brother, and I all have it. The Univ Houston staff would weigh my brother before and after practice and he'd lose 25 lbs of water. A few hours later, ever muscle fiber in his body including his face muscles would go into protracted cramps. When you're 295 and laying on the ground screaming in cramps, there's not much your roommates can do to help.

25lbs of water weight loss in a day may be a world record

I used to weigh myself after practice. I never came close to losing 25 lbs., but I regularly lost 4-6, easy. (The 12 pounds above was an exaggeration). It is weird to down 2 or three 32 oz gatorades and still have cotton mouth.

Played in it for 4 years, coached in it for 17. I guess I did love it.

now I’m still amazed at how much time I got back when I stopped coaching.

I always have a hot weather and a less hot weather costume planned.
Don't be Michael Myers, you'd have a stroke in those coveralls bro.:D

I have that same plan in Florida when I just go out walking in the summer.

That was hilarious!

I don't get the Miami'd. Can someone explain? Is it related to Miami Buffs?
Our own beloved MiamiBuff has a tendency to post tweets or YouTube clips as if he’s uncovering breaking news, except that someone else has already posted it in the same thread. Sometimes only a couple of posts above his.

It's good the SEC is talking about us, right? After all that's where CU is going, right? It's a possibility, I read about it somewhere.
