Yeah. We even ran a punt back for a TD today!
It's been posted elsewhere, but what the hell are the coaches thinking with Oliver still fielding punts? He good. He also gonna get injured.Sort of
I don't think this was a positive enough opinion to draw the ire of the football gods. He said our special teams don't suck; he didn't say they were good. Thanks @InTheBuff you just jinxed us for the rest of the season....

Special teams have definitely improved.
Placekicking and punting have definitely improved - and we now have athletes quick enough to give people a reason to fair catch the ball or let it be a touchback. To BP's point, though, we shall see against UW and UCLA to start the season.Coverage remains untested.
Punt coverage was always solid though, I think we lead the conference in return yardage allowed in 2015.Punt coverage is what caught my eye. 18 was downfield every time to make a play.
He may be the most improved player on the entire team. Winning the field position battle is going to be big when playing good Pac 12 teams.Watching Kinney in warm ups and he was booming 'em. He reminded me of watching a PGA pro on the driving range. He hit 3 in a row from the north 40 to the south 2. The guy catching them hardly had to move. Perfect spirals with lots of hang time.

agree, and on that play, it is better to go ahead and go down. We saw him fumble which is bad, could have gotten injured.I did not like Oliver's returns yesterday. The fumble could have been a disaster in conference play if no Buffs are there to recover. On another return he caught it right in front of the Texas State bench and had at least 10-15 yards of daylight on the sideline but instead cut inside and was tackled immediately.
