For an all-time top 25 program we've paid our dues and taken our turn as doormat long enough. Time for a decent upset and a decent season.

I don't mind going on the record. I went with 7-5. It would be easier to make the case for 4-8, but I have decided that this will be the year that we have everything break right for us and our binge drinking finally gets to be from celebration instead of the cold comfort of numbing our misery.

6-6. We're due (nevermind that I say this every season, but c'mon man, we're freaking due). I think we get an upset in somewhere and look competent throughout the season. Injury bug in certain areas (QB, OL, DT, LB) would be a kick to the nads.

We have a QB who doesn't suck, a Junior WR who is on pace to become one of CU's all time receiving leaders, a stable of three running backs who could start if needed and a defense that should be improved from 2013. I say 6-6. This team will beat someone they're not supposed to beat and then go bowling.

3. I think we are still a year away. I think we lose to the Rammies and pick off a conference foe. I sincerely hope I am very wrong, but I'm tired of being disappointed every year.

Hey, I don't think we should, but it's not as if it would be a complete shock. My point being, I think we will drop one we shouldn't and win one we shouldn't. CSU is the first game of the season with us fielding a young and inexperienced team. Scares the crap out of me.

And they are just as bad. Lost what? 4 starting OL? Who's running the ball? Lost Barrett on the D. They are hurting a lot worse than we are.

The team isn't inexperienced though. You do understand CsU is trying to replace 80% of their all-MWC OL, right? Along with a mess of their other playmakers that are gone. We beat the teams we were supposed to last year, I don't see that changing.

This sums my thoughts up pretty well. I have a feeling that either the Cal or OSU game is going to come down to the wire and we drop one in very close fashion, like last second stuff.

I agree here. Ultimately, I see a 5-7 season where we lose one of the games we are supposed to win but also sneak an upset in there.

I went 6-6 although 5-7 is probably more realistic. But like others I want to believe this is the year we finally turn the corner and actually look like a BCS football team.

SJSU was 1-12 HCMM´s 1st year and 5-7 his 2nd. That is a 4 win total improvement as some of his players and the old coaches players bought into his system and culture.

We had 2 wins against FCS last year and 2 against FBS. I think we should be able to get to 6 somehow. I have been preaching that HCMM is a good coach able to coach up his players and figure out the schemes and game-day strategy. So, he has a chance to prove it by somehow getting us to a bowl despite our below Pac 12 average athletes on the team.

Actually, **** it. 7-6 with a bowl win. We finally catch some breaks and HCMM (just for DBT) and his staff shows that they are worth what we are paying them. Recruiting takes a big step up and we sign a class in the top 6 of the PAC 12.

4-8. Which I'll take as an improvement given the tougher schedule this year. Especially if USC and Oregon are keeping their starters in during the 4th quarter.
