Cactus Bowl now the Cheez-It Bowl

Are you a fan of the Cheez-It?

  • They're delicious.

  • Decent snack, but don't really buy them.

  • They suck.

This is the low bowl (#7) of the Pac-12 tie-ins. Versus the Big 12.

Hopefully having a title sponsor will increase the payout a bit. Not the coolest sponsor, but whatever.

When it comes to processed food sponsors of the cracker variety, I’m partial to these.

Cheez-it and hummus just don’t go together.

Need another option on the poll.

0 Depends on how much you have had to drink.

If I do not have beer Cheez-its are a greasy mess that taste like salt and are unappetizing. Somehow with a cold bottle of refreshment they become a pleasant addition.

In Wilner's newsletter today he talked about the Pac-12 bowls.

Most bowl agreements for all the conferences only go through 2020.

An exception is the Pac-12 with the Alamo Bowl where our #2 plays the Big 12 #2 through the mid 2020s.

The new Wrigley Bowl failing to work something out with the B1G was a big deal for our San Francisco Bowl.

Negotiations still going on with the SEC to play in Las Vegas. The question is money, but it looks like it could be the Pac-12 #3 vs the SEC #3. Big issue is what that #3 really means. If the SEC sends 3 teams to the New Year's 6, their #3 is actually their #5. That's going to happen more often than not. As Wilner points out, last year this would have meant that you were paying to get 10-win Auburn but ended up getting 8-win South Carolina. That's a huge drop-off in value.

Which is a big reason I’d prefer to get an ACC team for that matchup.

If that's the trade-off, sign the deal tomorrow.

I so much want the Vail Back Bowl to exist in college football.

The Illegal Pete’s Potato Bowl or the Native Roots Sour Kush Bowl are also true to the spirit of the area.
