Cal rolls over Colorado

California crushed Colorado 52-7. The final result was never in question.

Not much to add from my*halftime post, other than the Bears answered the question at the end by never taking their foot off the Buffaloes throat.

Five*Colorado turnovers and eight first-half penalties turned this one into a laugher.

The Bears new attacking defense recorded five sacks and held Colorado to just 239 yards.

You don't want to draw too big of conclusions from this one -- Cal has taunted us before with impressive starts. But the early returns are that Cal might be better than 7th place in the Pac-10.

And that visit to Arizona on Sept. 25 could stack up as a big game.

Of course, the Bears need to take care of business next week at Nevada. That is far from a gimme.
