The Buffs (7-5, 4-3) are scheduled to conclude regular season conference play*** with a trip to Eugene to face the Ducks (3-9, 2-4) tomorrow evening.
(***Before the conference tourney, they still have one other road game scheduled, as they complete a home and home series with DU by visiting the Pioneers next Thursday.)

(If I'm reading the standings right (https://pac-12.com/womens-lacrosse/standings), it looks like a win will probably give the Buffs a 3rd place conference finish, while a loss will see them end in 3rd. Right now, USC and ASU are tied for 3rd at 5-3, but they finish their conference slates facing off against each other.)

Go Buffs!!!

BOULDER — As the regular season is winding down, the Colorado lacrosse team is improving each week. The Buffaloes, 7-5, have won their last four games, which includes three Pac-12 Conference games, and are 4-3 in league play. CU looks to make it five straight with one final conference game left against Oregon this Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m. MT.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season as the first game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Ducks' program in March.

Links to the live stream and stats are available at CUBuffs.com.

Colorado was off last week after defeating UC Davis and California, April 9 and 11, respectively. Following those games, Charlie Rudy and Eliza Cahill earned the weekly Pac-12 awards. Rudy was named the offensive player of the week after recording eight goals and one assist in the two goals, while Cahill earned defensive player of the week honors with eight ground balls and 10 draw controls.
...

ABOUT OREGON: The Ducks are 3-9 this season, which includes a 2-4 record in Pac-12 play. Oregon defeated Cal twice in conference play and also picked up a victory against Fresno State in nonconference play for its third win of the season.

Hanna Hilcoff leads Oregon with 35 goals this season and also has a team-best 36 points. Lillian Stump is second (23) in goals but leads the team in assists with 10. The Ducks are averaging 9.5 goals per game on 24.7 shots per game. They have converted on 18-42 free-position attempts (42.9%). Alle Dunbar has started in all 12 games for the Ducks, playing in 707:13 minutes. She has recorded a 14.23 goals-against average, as well as a 41.3 save percentage on 390 shots faced.

THE SERIES: Oregon and Colorado have faced each other at least once every season since CU's started its program, and in every one of those meetings, the Buffs have been victorious. CU is 11-0 against UO, which includes a 6-0 mark in Boulder. The Ducks were the only Pac-12 team CU played in 2020 before the season was cut short due to the pandemic. In that game, CU scored a program-record 21 goals in a conference game, besting its 20 goals the previous season against Stanford. The Buffs won that game on March 6, 2020, 21-5.

The very first game between the two was on April 27, 2014. It went to triple overtime in Eugene, Ore. and saw CU come away with the 10-9 win. Since that game, the closest contest between the two has been decided by two goals.

UP NEXT: The Buffs finish the regular season on April 29 against Denver at Peter Barton Stadium in Denver. The game, which was originally scheduled for 1 p.m., will be played at 7 p.m. and will be televised on Altitude.

Guess I should have waited to post a thread for this game, as it's now been cancelled due to Covid-19 protocol issues within the Duck program. (This will mean the Buffs don't play the Ducks at all this season, as the 1st game against them scheduled earlier in the season in Boulder was also cancelled.)

Hope it's all precautionary, and nothing negative happens to any of the Ducks.
