Three regent seats come up for election in 2018. These seats are important to CU fans with President Benson eventually needing to be replaced.

The at-large seat represented by Democrat Stephen Ludwig, the 3rd District seat represented by Republican Glenn Gallegos, and the 5th District seat represented by Republican Kyle Hybl will be contested.

The first candidate to throw is hat in the ring is Republican Chance Hill, who seeks to replace Hybl in the 5th district that covers Colorado Springs.

Chance Hill is a newby to Colorado, arriving about a year ago to practice law. He holds degrees from Dartmouth College, where he also served as student body vice president. He graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in 2010 and from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a former CIA agent and a Navy veteran. His position on the role of athletics on campus is to be determined.

More info on Chance Hill.

Does it make sense to invite Hill to a tailgate this fall? Maybe some of our Navy veterans can host and show him a good time.
