This is from a Daily Camera article from last year about how the 9.3% hike to CU tuition included a nearly $50,000 pay raise for Phil DiStefano. It raised his pay from $340k to $389k. I know the message board community is viewed as the fringe crazies...but do you think Phil has any idea with the level of contempt most informed fans have for his performance...and not just for athletics for our consistent slide in the academic rankings? Has he shepherded a single major initiative while he's been in charge? I know they have a bunch of new buildings up there (a lot supporting their Club Med strategy to appeal to well heeled out of state students)? That's actually a legit question, I'm curious to know what if any successes he can hang his hat on for why we shouldn't be trying to get the regents to run him out of town.

I think the way they're trying to get Phil's attention and suck up to him while he basically ignores them both due to him noticing a camera being on him... pretty much sums things up perfectly. Especially when you throw in that Ceal is doing a much more aggressive and successful job of kissing Phil's ass than Mike is.
