Mr Embree is a very serious man.

During a team meeting on the day he was announced as the 24th head coach in the program's history earlier this month, he told the entire team that some of the players in the room would not be returning to the program because they weren't getting the job done in the classroom.
Embree is asserting his authority early, exactly what this program has been lacking the past 5 years - Discipline and Accountability
or is he going to be another Josh McDaniels?
or is he going to be another Josh McDaniels?
This happens at every school. It sucks but it's part of the game. Good luck to Celestine and anybody else who's looking for programs here pretty soon.
Not if he's released, I don't think.Doesn't Celestine have to sit out a year somewhere? He is close to running out of eligibility, since he played in 2007, that's when the clock started.
He played a couple games in 2008, redshirted in 2009, and played in 2010. He's got one year of eligibility, but he doesn't have a year where he can sit out. He has to go somewhere other than a D1 school - maybe Juco or Div II?
Not if he's released, I don't think.
So, I know this gets old to talk about, but our APR will take yet another hit.
Freeing up scholarships is all fine and dandy, but it doesn't do us any good if we're replacing those guys with a bunch of lunchpail guys. We need talent - lots of it.
I'm still very skeptical of the Berglund situation. I think that was a mistake. We'll see how it plays out. I'll be keeping a very close eye on what we recruit at QB this cycle.
How was that a mistake? Embree didn't pull the schollie, Berglund decommitted. BB was the first recruit Embree visited publicly. Not sure what else he could have done besides keeping Kiesau which doesn't make any sense, you don't keep an assistant you don't want just to keep a player committed. That is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
You think we just amicably let our supposed #1 recruit walk away into the arms of Kansas? There is a reason why we didn't fight for him when Kansas came calling.
I for one would like to know the real reason/s.
I'm goddamn done addressing this .
