25-17 win today at 1-5 VMI. VMI's game against the FBS this year was a 49-0 loss to Virginia.

This is a game we should win handily. What concerns me, though, is that Charleston Southern is used to winning. Confidence means a lot.

I'm officially worried for next week.
 
We suck but pull out a close one then proceed to get dominated the rest of the season. Moral victories wooooo

We're ****ed. I expect us to win, but this team has yet to show signs of life outside of that first quarter against UO since the first 2 games. They'll come in expecting to win. We'll come expecting to win. What kind of offense do they run? Please no triple option.
 
We'll beat Charleston Southern. The vast majority of their games have been close victories over atrocious competition (even by FCS standards). There's no explaining just how bad that VMI squad is that they struggled with today. Not to mention Charleston Southern's narrow victory over Shorter, an 0-6 DII school.
 
Ok, that assuages some of my fears. We still need to show up and dominate them. Four quarters, 35+ points winning by at least 21.

They'll be fired up. This is a big deal for them. They definitely won't bend over like we do on the road, but there's no excuse not to win this. Their record is solid, but you scratch the surface and see that it's not quite what it seems.
 
Momentum is so big in college football. We need to get the ball first and march down the field or hold them to a 3 and out. If they score first I'm worried if some may pack it in. God help us if we get down below 10.
 
If they run a zone read were fu(ked. Can't stop that dreaded QB or RB for that matter
 
Losing is not an option and doing so would SEVERELY damage the Mac program moving forward. At the end of the day, they need to stop Paul Richardson. If OREGON can't stop Paul Richardson, Charleston Southern should not be able to stop him. Even if they double him, we should be able to get DD Goodson open, who can run, or Spruce who can be a very good possession WR.

Somebody needs to call out the OL. Run the damn ball down their throats, hit P-Rich on the playaction, pick up the tempo. I feel that Baer will have his D ready to go.
 
Those of you that follow that national recruiting will remember the name Willy Korn. He was divinely worshipped on his arrival at Clemson, but injuries took their toll and he got lost in the shuffle and transferred to Marshall before transferring to DII. He's now the wide receivers coach at Charleston Southern.

PRich is good, but he's not AJ Green. The guy doesn't have the weight to really help in the run game, he'd get pounded over the middle and he was shutdown against asu.

We overhype him because he has incredible speed on a team of 5.3s 40s. The only true talent at WR we've had in a very long time.

There's a reason you see teams like GT or AF hang with teams they should lose to. This team will probably win the TOP metric. CU needs to score often and fast with the opportunities given.

I'm not sure how disciplined the guys on D are to keep their assignments. If someone tries to be a hero we gonna see those gashers Hawk talked about.
 
looking down a 8-0 barrel. Charleston is coming in to play their super bowl. CU is going to get a gut punch followed up by a round house. CU can not afford to lose this game. As a matter of fact CU really needs to beat them down and get some second and third teamers in the game. If this game stays close to the 4th qtr, watch out.

Charleston does not care if CU is 0-3 in the conference - They are a Pac12 team, that is all they are thinking.

Personally, I think Colorado comes out fired up and takes care of business. They need this game more so than Charleston Southern. Sefo will be chomping at the bit to prove himself and the D will be embarassed after last week. I have faith that MM will have the team ready and they whip CSU's ass.

I agree. CS is not expected to win. They'll come in but I think this CU group has pride and will win the game by 13.
 
This game is a mental test. I agree that CS will come out firing and will relish the opportunity. We need to come out up and with individual goals as well as team goals to keep everyone focused and fired up all day.

This is a game we should win easily, but the words "win" and "easily" don't really pair well for CU football.

Wow, I remember that kid's highlight tape. Back when everybody was looking for the next Tebow, he looked like the 2nd coming.
 
We could lose this one based on the last Arizona State loss. In my opinion, this was Mac2's worst loss. Hawkins had his Montana State and Embree had his Sac State. Mike, don't let this happen.

Let's see... He's had 3, and one was to arguably the best team in the country... So what you're really saying here is that the ASsU loss was worse than the Oregon State loss.
