Chidobe Awuzie accepts Senior Bowl invite

This is a stupid question but is the Senior Bowl a big deal? For some reason, I kind of associate it with lesser known, but talented, seniors that are trying to improve draft stock. Most elite pro prospects don't attend right?

Also, will guys like TT and Tupou get the invite as well?

I believe the Senior Bowl is the top game. Tons of scouts there too.

Apparently it can make a big difference since so many NFL scouts are there and the players also get to be coached by NFL coaches (who spread the good or bad word about them). Game doesn't mean dick, but the practices can mean a ton in terms of draft position.

Senior Bowl a big deal. As others have stated, NFL scouts, coaches and staff are there. They work with, interview and otherwise vet the players as they practice and train. Like an extended combine with actual game play/practice evaluation

So I know it's a big deal in terms of NFL scouts and staff being there, but my point is that Chido is considered a late 1st-3rd round draft pick. He isn't overly in need of more scouting. My question was more asking if the Senior Bowl was more for fringe draft picks or mid to late rounders than for the elite prospects.

Some big names on the list this year.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think the Senior Bowl is actually a big deal. The East-West Shrine Game is the lesser one.

Not really about the scouting. Much more getting to know team execs and coaches.
