That would be awesome.

Looks like he's pulling a Pete Carroll. Leave before the sanctions hit.
 
Well this is job number 5 he has been rumored to take this off season lol. The guy who started this rumor at KGW is the same ass hole who has predicted sanctions within weeks for Oregon 3-4 times now. He talks out his ass way to much, but I guess thats what Chip will have to deal with when he shuts down the local media.

Oh and Chip is currently at Shaq Thompsons place so why does this scream UW to me lol?

Oh and I know that one day Chip Kelly will bolt to the NFL since he loves challenges, but I don't expect it for a bit. When the day comes I hope the Ducks go after Tony Dungy since we have his son playing at Oregon and he already owns a house in the Eugene area.

Unless Michael Berk has been right about both sanctions and the Tampa report. Could very well be a Pete Carroll move.

Except Chip comes with one expensive ass buyout at 3-5 mill (I think it went to 5 this year). Truthfully I am not worried about him leaving yet especially since it is Tampa Bay. I would be much more worried if a job in the North-East opened up for Chip to take since that is where he came from.

Oh and Chip just built a mansion in Eugene so hard to imagine him leaving especially since his family loves it here.

I think the most annoying part of the rumors is the mess eDuck turns into for the next week and I mean it was just now getting better after the Miami rumors.

I heard Chip was considering a coaching job at North Dakota State. That school is unstoppable.

A couple points:

1. College cannot compete with NFL $. The buyout is not an issue.
2. Anywhere can be a nice place to live with enough $$.

Well lets see the list I can come up with of jobs Chip has been signed too....

PSU HC - For the last year or so
Miami HC - A week ago
Texas A&M - A month ago
Tampa Bay HC - Today

I think he was rumored to have taken at least 3 other jobs last season too lol.

No money in the world would be nice enough for me to live within 100 miles of Charlie Weis after a day at the Country Buffet.

Yes....Tampa is just fine.....especially relative to many other places in the US. Ever been to Buffalo, Cincy, Cleveland, Pittsburgh.....on and on and on.....Dallas?
 
NFL is a follow the leader league. You have to figure that with Harbaugh getting to the NFC championship game in his first year, and Carol looking decent, that the hot trend this year is going to be going after top college coaches. It's cyclical every year. A couple of years ago it was going after the young gun coordinator / position coaches.
