She is in camp with the New York Liberty . They played a pre-season game today at Atlanta.

I don't think Spears tried for the WNBA again this season. I didn't see her name anywhere in the signings for training camps. I know that she played in Germany over the winter.

Glad Spears spent another winter in Europe. I rode an airport shuttle with a former UConn player who played against her in Israel and she said Spears was a great shooter and very difficult to guard. That is why she is CU's leading scorer.

I didn't see Spears' name either.

Liberty waived 3 players today and Chucky is still there. There are some tweets with Chucky on a boat with the rest of the team. Looks like the Liberty have 13 on their roster at this time and they can only have 11 players on the roster. Chucky had a 10 day contract with the Liberty at least once last summer, so they know how. Hope she gets to stick around this season.

There was a change in the WNBA CBA this year ... teams can now have a max of 12 players instead of 11. Kamiko Williams, still shown on the roster, is out with an ACL. And I believe final cuts have to be made today. So it looks like Chucky is in. http://www.wnba.com/liberty/roster/

Chucky had a couple of 7 day injury contracts with the Liberty last summer, so Coach Lambier is familiar with her. We all know Chucky can score, given the opportunity.

Chucky played in the Liberty's first game today. They played against Connecticut, with NY winning the game. She got 6 minutes, was 2-4 on shot attempts,, scoring 4 points. Also 1 rebound, 1 assist, 0 turnovers, 2 steals, 1 block, and 1 foul.

It wasn't a close game, but happy Chucky got to play. Today is their first home game.

Liberty lost last night to the Lynx 82-87. Chucky only played 38 seconds. She was 0-1 from the field, but had 1 assist.
