Carruth at 7:00 - oh my

OU coaches swearing at 8:00

Lendon Henry one of the most underrated Buffs ever

What was that "4" next to "Colorado" in the beginning there? And where are our cool maxi pads stuck on our shoulders? Our players were so big back then they weren't fast enough to italicize their jersey numbers.

Haha, I remember Schellenberger talking **** about how he wouldn't have felt good when they win because Detmer was out..

god did you see that pass at about 9:35...do we have anyone that could even throw it that far (setting aside accuracy) anymore?

what's up with those shoulder stripes for OU. ugggleeee.

i was sitting in the laundromat at Canyon and Folsom when i read Schnellenberger's quote. lol.

That brought back great memories...thanks for posting. If I recall correctly, ESPN GameDay was in Norman that morning. So, there was a huge build-up to the game, including Schnellenberger's inflated comments. What a sweet victory....

Ah yes, that game. I was still in Guam when it was played (but saw it) and the next Spring I was stationed in Coronado.

I was kind of dating this bartender at one of the Coronado establishments, and one night I was bored, so I hopped on my skateboard and went over to visit her.

There was this total preppie, pretty-boy at the bar hitting on her. I came in dressed in my usual board trunks and t-shirt and sat at the bar. He looked over at my skateboard, with its giant CU sticker, and said, "who do you know who went to Colorado?" in a really snotty voice--as if it was clear to him that I didn't ever attend college.

I said, "I did" and then added for good measure "I did my graduate work there too".

Turns out this kid was a student at OU, and on the ****ing tennis team. So he brought up football and said "you're lucky that you guys didn't play us last year" referencing their solid 99 campaign (it might have been a response to my mention of how we'd dominated them for the last decade).

I just looked at him, and said, "dude, we did play you in Boulder and we smoked you...again."

He stammered something, all momentum lost and excused himself and left shortly thereafter. I saw him a few times the following summer--his family lived on the island; in my mind he has become the epitome of an OU student. What a douche.

Texas' taint.

Awesome to watch these classic clips. Is the UT game from 1994 out there somewhere?

I was at CU from 1991 to 1994. I also went to the * Obowl game. We were very good then. I sure wish it had lasted longer. sigh...

Yes...great to watch these clips and remember how we were, but incredibly depressing to think about the last four years...and likely the next several because of the impact of dear old Danny....

yep, and Howie actually came on the air on gameday with his pipe and said that comment.
