CNS facing pressure at UA and would leave for UT

Whoa. You really think so?

I'd be shocked. With Satan's record he's going to have huge expectations anywhere he goes. How is he going to be under less pressure trying to rebuild Texass than he is at Bama?

And I can't believe even the tree poisoners would be dumb enough to run him off...

i see why texassss would be the school he'd leave for, and i understand the pressure issue, but he's in position to win multiple more NCs at bama. if he goes to texass, he'll have to rebuild a bit, and he'll be hoping to get one more.

either way, he'll be in the convo for greatest college fb coach of all time. say he stays at bama and wins 3 more in the next 5 years and then retires. GOAT is not hard to call at that point. or, say he goes to texass and wins one in the next 3 years and retires. only guy to win ncs at 3 diff schools. still might be the GOAT.

i will enjoy the fan meltdowns, either way.

I dunno, I have a hard time seeing Saban leaving...he's what late 50's? OTOH, I have no difficulty seeing Jimmy Sexton engineering a huge payday for Saban, with a healthy commission for Sexton of course.

I just don't see it - unless someone at Alabama flat out pisses him off. Otherwise, I see him staying and retiring.

these guys have huge egos. the expectations at bama are now ridiculously high. the 85% of their fan base, who are completely ****ing stupid, who think they should win the nc every year are probably driving him crazy.

if he goes to texasssss, they will pay him an ungodly amount of money. and, if he delivers them one nc in the next 3 years and then retires, they will revere him like a football jesus forever.

so, i understand it on certain levels.

Sabin to Texass... Texass to the Pac 12 ..... that would pretty much be about as ****ty as it could get

I don't see it. Saban's ego says NFL. He has nothing to do unless they win the title this year.

If I was Saban I'd go to Texas. Way better situation (It's Austin, not Alabama). Could have them very very good in 2 years. Take a pile of money and live it out in the Austin area.

Only problem is that some tree-poisoner is likely to put a bullet in his head for leaving.

This. Plus, I don't buy the idea that he has much if any "rebuilding" to do at Texas. No way they are devoid of championship talent. Championship coaching? Definitly. Not talent.

Yup look at USC after they dumped their crappy coach.

I'm rooting like crazy for this not to happen.

Bama is annoying in its way and it would be nice for the Tide to not win MNCs every other year, but give UT Saban, and their fans will be awful for millennia. OTOH, UT winning MNCs is guaranteed to keep them out of the Pac-12. Arrogant ****ers will think they're Notre Dame.

Are you kidding? They already think they are Notre Dame's better and wondering why that little Leprechaun guy isn't shining their **** kickers....

I don't really care either way. If I were Steve Patterson, I wouldn't fool around with Saban. I'd throw 3-4 mil at Al Golden from Miami and see if he'd bite. They'll wind up with a guy they won't like, and probably one that Stoops won't have any trouble outcoaching----Todd Graham fits that bill.

He failed miserably at Miami. Hard to coach when you don't have a stacked roster like he has every year at Bama.

Maybe. He was a terrible fit for the Dolphins and he hated Miami and the bright lights. He decided quickly that he liked the quiet backwaters of SEC country

That would be awesome. I wasn't sure I'd seen a better coupling of a douchebag coach and a douchebag school than Graham and ASU, but Graham and UT might do it.

Really don't think Saban gives a **** about living in a "cool" college town. He may leave, but that's not a factor in why.
