I used to think Division Two Danny was a joke, now I think he is a fraud. He's going to weasel every nickel he can get out of CU because he knows he's been found out, and his ride on the gravy train is over. He is not, repeat, is not, able to do the job he has been MASSIVELY overcompensated to do...
It was obvious to me that he's a fraud after last years' CSU game. Any lingering doubt was erased by the Toledo game. He is a fraud. But the thing is, he doesn't think so. He honestly thinks he's just a couple little details short of having a team of world beaters here. So not only is he a fraud, he's delusional, too. He's a fraud who doesn't realize it.
Dan Hawkins reminds me of Catch 22's Yossarian.
True. But I so much wanted to believe we had a quality HC who was a winner. I hung in there believing until ISU last year although the signs, in retrospect, were screaming that the HR was really a foul pop to the catcher.losing to Montana St should have been our first clue-
What? That he's nuts, but the only way to get rid of him is for him to say he's nuts, but if he says he's nuts, he can't really be nuts, so we're stuck with him?
Maybe they look good in practice because Hawkins doesn't know what a good BCS team looks like in practice?
Have any of his offseason trips even been to a BCS program? I'm talking SEC, Big 10, Pac-10, ACC here.
I remember him going to flaaaaaaaaaaarida.
"I think we're just learning," Hawkins said. "We certainly address that. We talk to our guys about that all the time, that bad things are going to happen and you're going to have to work your way through it."
