Last year many of us were shocked that Ford never got more carries. Every time he did he averaged like 7 yrds a pop. But the coaching staff claimed he wasn't enough of an all-around back. Something never made sense because many teams have backs that can't do it all.

It felt like last year's coaching staff played favorites and didn't give him playing time. Of course they played favorites with J. Webb and we saw where that got us.

Here's to hoping that Mac plays the best players and gives them opportunities to prove themselves on game days not just in practice.
 
Completely agree. Going back to Hawkins, I would get so pissed that the coaches would withhold playing time because they were trying to send a message or light a fire under the players to get them motivated. Play the best players you have! Give the team the best chance to win! I guarantee you that if those players taste some on field success that they will get hungry and motivated for more.
