Coach Macs last game

Man I love watching these!

Historical Rep!

"In the second quarter, Colorado ended the game, by scoring three consecutive touchdowns. Kordell Stewart started by rushing 9 yards for a touchdown, and Rashaan Salaam scored two 1 yard touchdown runs to increase the lead to 31-3. Ron Powlus threw a 9 yard touchdown pass to Derrick Mayes to cut the lead to 31–10 before halftime."

Watching these old films reminds me of how lazy the first down line has made me. I have to remember how to count yards and pay attention to spots etc.

Jeeez.

God the talent and swagger that team had.

Still pissed we lost to Nebraska, should have been our secondn national championship!

Heh - Ron Pawlus. Wasn't that guy supposed to win something like 5 Heismans?

^This

I still b*tch about it from time to time and my brother is always telling me it has been about a decade and a half and it is time to let it go

Funny seeing a Cu team being bigger, stronger, and faster than another team in a bowl game. Its been a while.

Charlie Jones, the gray haired play by play guy, was victimized by me once upon a time. I've told this story before, but it is a pretty good one.

My dad flew a lot on Continental. He was a Platinum OnePass member. That meant, back then, if there was an empty seat in first class , a Platinum OnePass member could move to a First Class seat, even on an economy ticket. Since he and I share the same middle name, and that was the name he went by, I would buy tickets under that name and ask to be moved to first class. I didn't have the little OnePass card, but I could rattle off all the personal info and had a valid DL with the right name. It always worked.

So one time flying from Denver to SD, I am sitting right next to Charlie Jones, him on the aisle, me on the window. He had just finished a NFL game and was heading home. The desserts for the first class meals were cheesecake or strawberries and cream, I went for the cheesecake. Just as the stew was handing me the cheesecake, Charlie leaned forward to get a magazine from the seat rack in front of him, we hit a bump of turbulance and I took the cheesecake in my hand only to have the bump propel the cheesecake all over CJ's glasses. He was not amused. It probably didn't help that I turned to the window and began cracking up. I'll never forget the look of CJ angrily turning his head to look at me with an inch wide stripe of cheescake across his glasses.

Lol cool story. Dalton Simmons was never the same after he blew out his knee in that game. It wasnt McGahee bad but pretty damn nasty. I thought the play by play was terrible in that game. I was never a big fan of Charlie Jones or Randy Cross.

I think....uhhh....that he....uhhh....should have....uhhh...ran the ball....uhhh because Salaam....was an uhhhh....great RB. So ****ing annoying.

Watched some of this game. I know I'm going to get ripped for being negative but watching salaam run now, I can see why he struggled in the NFL. HE didn't make a lot of guys miss. Great college runner but wasn't a NFL skill type back. He still made the right decision to leave after his junior year though

The defense looked real good up front. Dominated their 1950's type of offense they were trying to run.

i just love that white jersey, black pants, gold helmet, kicking ass uni. road work.

lou holtz, bleh.

i don't know, Salaam hit the hole pretty hard out of the deep I.

talk about depth at the position, neither Lamont Warren (5-6 year NFL career, turns pro because he won't get carries at CU!) and Salaam complete their eligibility.

i did a snort/chuckle about the green uniforms.
