Coaching Carousel 2012-2013 version...

NMSU will probably fire DeWayne Walker this year. Assuming Embree sticks around and mans up and fires GB, we could hire him as DC and that'd be a massive upgrade.
 
Dooley on major thin ice at Tennessee

Overall it should be a relatively quiet year compared to the past few. Would be an excellent time to change...
 
I am 100% certain that Cal is going to fire tedford after the season. You can quote this.

Yeah, or Spaziani at BC. I would love to get Lopez from Philadelphia for the o-line though I'm sure he'll have an NFL offer or two next year
 
No DC with even half a reputation is joining this staff. Stop dreaming. This staff is a sinking ship and everyone knows it. There is not going to be some miraculous assistant coach shakeup that suddenly gets Embree on the right track. That doesn't happen after 1-11 seasons in which everyone knows you're out after 1 more year (or more likely, half a year). We might be able to find another Gannon (PA). assistant with no experience as a coordinator to take over, but that's about the extent of hires Embree could make.

End the nightmare of this entire regime after Utah. That's the fix. Anything else is a waste of time and only prolongs the nightmare and our relentless march to becoming this century's KSU.
 
I think the biggest coach on the hot seat is Chizick at Auburn and maybe Skip Holtz at South Florida.

Arkansas and Auburn will be the best jobs available

I don't see Bohn or the admins making a move as much as everyone would like to see it happen
 
Eastern half of the US will have several openings. I'm not sure we see a single opening west of the Mississippi River for a BCS school. Maybe Cal, maybe KSU if the old man calls it a career.
 
Read on OS that Gruden will be next coach for Tenn, and Dooley will officially be fired and announced on Monday. Interesting if true.

Yes, I do. It mostly stems from the fact the Buffs are done playing FB by T-Day + 1 and it extends the CFB season for me until mid-January. Some people play fantasy FB, I follow the coaching changes that tend to ramp up about the time the Buffs go into the tank and are mathematically eliminated from a bowl.

EDIT: I would much rather be focused on the Buffs and a bowl game, but you take what you can get.

Well that's Idaho and Kentucky on the market...

My guess is Arky (obviously), Auburn and Cal will be as well, probably Tennessee also.
 
I know an Auburn fan that still swears by Chizik. Chizik has a horrible horrible record without Cam, yet he defends this season as saying they're young and most games have been close.
 
Auburn has lusted after Petrino, and now they shall have him. They can provide him with all the VB players he wants....
