Collier breaks foot

The source of this timeline is from Dom himself. So you have to immediately assume he's being optimistic about the timeline. Considering that he said 2 bones and that it doesn't sound like it requires surgery, then I'm going to guess its the 2nd/3rd metatarsals. A 6-8 week absence is more likely.

Also, Yaz has already been operating as the #2 PG with Dom as the off guard. Dom is a great shooter first and foremost--one of the best in the PAC12. If he's available for the games that matter most then it would be absolutely silly to redshirt.

Dom: can I have a another year of eligibility for a medical hardship?
NCAA: no
Dom: but I only played in one game during the 2016-2917 season
NCAA: no
Dom: I literally only played 13 minutes the entire season because I broke my foot.
NCAA: no
Dom: I never took a red-shirt season
NCAA: no
Dom: [transfers to Oregon]
NCAA: no ....because we are going to give you three more years of eligibility!!*hits play on tape deck, C&C music factory plays in background*

I guess football and men's basketball have to come with a reversal of fortunes. Remember those years Ohio State and Florida were stone cold in both? I want that.

I have held this theory for a long time.

Except that men's basketball has had a key injury each of the past 4 years now. Spencer in 13-14, Jelly in 14-15, XJ in 15-16 and now Dom.

With Dom's shooting this is definitely a loss, but this this is a loss that CU is better prepared to deal with than if it were a post player. Hoops will still be good. No decline coming.

Big bummer for this kid and the team. I feel like he was poised for a very good year. Maybe he still can, or maybe we get to see him a little longer. We're rooting for you Dom. Go Buffs!

I wouldn't put this at the same level as losing Spencer. That loss cratered that team. There are guys who can fill this void adequately.
