Also any ideas on where to stay or what do do (besides not get shot) there?
 
What has two thumbs and is slightly hungover? BP That's who! Don't know much about the area. There's an amusement park with good roller coasters in the area, and downtown Cleveland is going through a lodo-type renovation, so some of it's nice. Some of it will get you shot.

I don't know much about Columbus either, but I do know it's pretty far from Cleveland.

I'm thinking of going -- my uncle has season tickets and offered me one.
 
I'm thinking about going, there are a few of places to stay on Lane right off of campus and within walking distance of the stadium. Those places are great if you want you want to feel like you are back in college. If you prefer something more reasonable, stay downtown by Nationwide arena where the Blue Jackets play. There are lots of bars and restaurants over there, and its a short cheap cab ride over to Lane and High where you can walk to the game.

If you haven't seen a game at Ohio Stadium it's totally worth the trip.
 
I'll be going, but don't have any great recommendations as to where to stay. We stayed at a hotel near the airport. Nothing great; nothing awful.
I went out for the USC/Ohio State game in 2009 (not as much fun as it came the day after the "debacle in Toledo"), but "the 'Shoe" is an impressive venue. Go early for the band's entrance.

As for things to do, if you are a golf fan, the Jack Nicklaus museum on campus is worth checking out. It has many of Jack's trophies, along with videos of some of his greatest victories.
 
I will be there. Along with the Stanford, ASU, and Utah games :thumbsup:

The college football stadium tour continues!

All of us who are going should try and meet up at a bar or have our own tailgate, thoughts?
 
It's a once-in-a-lifetime location for most Buffs.

I really want to go. But I haven't made any arrangements yet. It's a 50:50 proposition. The game is in direct competition with Stanford. (Would love to go to both, but that's not going to happen.)

This is a big deal game because who knows when CU will ever play in Columbus again. The Horseshoe is an institution.
Tressel's troubles and the looming NCAA sanctions might help conspire to make this something other than a no-hoper. I'm a huge Speedy fan, and this is his homecomming to Ohio. It wouldn't get much better than watching a EB coached Rodney Stewart rip 100+ yards and the winning TD. That outcome would warrant comparisons with the Miracle in Michigan.

I suppose there is an outside chance the NCAA drops a penalty on tOSU that pulls them off of TV, which puts a premium on the experience.

One side trip I'd want to make, given sufficient time, is an outing to the Smithsonian Air and Space museum at Wright-Pat AFB.

Go Buffs.

I've always wanted to check out Cedar Point.

Looks like it's about two hours away.

I'm going. A bunch of Chicago based Buffs are making the road trip for our dear friend's last weekend before he gets his balls chopped off.
 
I'll be heading out with some friends and alums from Chicago and DC. Hopefully CU will release some info on lodging and tickets within the next month or two. Looking forward to making the drive!
 
We're planning to be there and bringing the whole family. Can't pass on the rare game within driving distance!
