Are you into withdrawals yet. Shaking for some MAC action in the middle of the week?
Not going to list all the games, plenty of places to look those up. Will highlight a couple of them though. At the time of this writing we don’t have a new playoff ranking yet so again I will CFP rankings from last week.
Friday night could shake up the whole bracket with (20) UNLV (10-2) against (10) Boise State (11-1) at Boise on the blue turf. Should UNLV pull off the upset Boise would fall from a probable first round bye to out of the playoff entirely.
Saturday early has (16) Iowa State (10-2) and (15) Arizona State (10-2) at Jerry World in Dallas looking for a spot in the brackets.
Midday in a match of two teams looking for that first round bye (5) Georgia (10-2) and (2) Texas (11-1) go at it in Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Texas will be in the playoff win or lose, Georgia is not as certain but could still be in even with 3 losses.
In the evening in the Carolina Panthers home stadium is the ACC game with (17) Clemson (9-3) and (8) SMU (11-1). Winner in, loser out.
The B1G game includes two teams that are almost certainly in either way but again looking for that first round bye (3) Penn State (11-1) and (1)Oregon (12-0) play in the dome in Indianapolis.
CSU Rams could have been playing this week had they not choked away their second to last game at Fresno. Now they get to wait to find out which of the Mountain West Conference’s list of lousy bowl games they get to go to.
The other local MWC teams are finished as is Northern Colorado and the RMAC schools who both lost last week in their playoff games.
