Wife calls me up yesterday all excited about getting tickets for me and the family to go see the WSU game in Pullman this (week before) Thanksgiving...I have to admit, I am more apathetic than excited. I've not watched more than a quarter of a game, even on DVR, since our last win. I'm not sure I can bring myself to making the 5 hour drive, shell out the cash, and be away from the things I actually like doing for that long knowing the likely outcome.

I used to go to 1-2 road games every year and every home game. now I can't even watch them on TV or lift a finger to go see them when they're near. fml.

Purchased airfare to Phoenix a few hours before the Hawaii kickoff when I was still optimistic that we would be improved. After the Hawaii game and thinking we might win two games all year I wish I would have just said no and saved the money.

My wife just informed me that she has a Saturday morning meeting and we will probably be a little late to the home opener. I already told her no rush. Week 2 and I'm already over it.

Still planning on going down to the Oregon State game. Somewhat depends on the start time. If it's a night game, I'd rather hang out at home.

Come on, Cinderella. We gotta get you ready for the ball!

My wife wants to go to Colorado for a long weekend to see the Aspens, I told her OK as long as the buffs were on the road.

You should still go. How many times do you have the opportunity to see a Pirate rape and pillage? Plus, I think we might actually win!

So much awesome in the WSU road trip. Fly into Spokane two days before the game. Drive to Sandpoint, Idaho and/or Harrison Hot Springs, BC, and/or Coure d'Alene. Get on a boat or little pontoon plane and check out a big and deep glacier lake on Friday. It's great scenery in that part of the world.

Drive into Pullman on the morning of game day and see if you can find the tailgate party crew who boil lobsters.

You'll have a fantastic trip before the Buffs even take the field. Who knows, maybe CU wins on the Paloose again. Even if they lose, you still get a nice adventure away from the daily grind.

As far as I can tell, any PAC12 destination is perfect 4-day weekend material. The game just happens to be one line item on the itinerary.

nice - I don't even have to fly! I need to research places to stay

Wear dark sunglasses so you can stare at the surprising amount of beautiful female coed ass in that town without your wife knowing.

Eh, she'll probably know anyway, keep the sunglasses off for a better view.

Just to make sure you know: CU plays in Pullman the 21st, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and then WSU plays at UW on Nov 27th...

You can also look for places in Moscow Where the Univ. of Idaho is. It's 7 miles from Pullman and may offer you other options.

Bring extra lobsters to pitch in. And good beer. I agree, you can make any game on the west coast a nice weekend. Expect he Buffs to lose, so if they do, you are already ok. And if they win, it is bonus good times.

Don't they have kickass cheese that comes in a can or something? Get some of that too.

A little to the west of Pullman is a quaint little town called Colfax there is a decently priced best western plus there. Also on another note if you go to WSU check out the creamery there cheddar cheeses and pepper jacks are dang good and even better with some good ole tomato soup as a grilled cheese.

I bought and upgraded tickets to CSU. After Hawaii I bought flights to Austin for that weekend. Buddy runs the stadium club and I'll be watching UT play cal from a comfy chair with a beer and not a care in the world.

Go
I sometimes go San Jose State or Stanford games when they are not playing the buffs just to get around college football. It's so much better live.
