Congrats CSU

Yep, that OLine gelled fast and they dominated us with power running.

One bland team loses an NFL talent, and the other bland team gains one. Victory to the man amongst boys. Congrats CSU. Look forward to watching you win your conference and cracking the top 25.

Maybe we should look at the RBs they recruit. They look much better than ours (it is NOT all OL).

There was a stretch in the late 3rd quarter during which every CSU highlight was a transfer, JUCO or otherwise.
So what? If you can't recruit for **** you better bring in some ringers. I wouldn't mind a Hart on the buffs. In fact if we had a rb of his caliber, we probably win.

That's what I was attempting to get across. Agree with you completely.

CSU whipped us at the point of attack, Grayson was a sideshow. We had no answers to their 2nd half power running. CSU deserves the credit. I really thought we could stuff their run and keep Grayson contained.

They have more athletes. That ought to worry the most diehard buff fans.

I think the talent level is just about even. Maybe a bit towards CU, but not by much.

Our line play was stunningly bad. Hats off to line coaches and players at CSU. Beat our butts!

I would also like to say the better team won today and congrats to the Rams. Their coaches made the right adjustments. At first I think they thought our Dline was our strength so they tried to pass in the first quarter and a half, and then the rest is history...

D. Hart is a stud

Really? I thought we looked to have the more athletic guys by far. Just couldn't utilize them well.

Edit: I think the youth factor was killer.

There were so many times that we had a play stuffed only for a LB to not fill and resulting in Gillam making a play from across the field. Some poor LB play tonight...

Our dline were a bunch of I don't want to say and Greer make a play son, you had chances, y'all are leaving Gillam out to dry.

His size, Gillam, don't tell me he will last. That dude is 215 220 if that but he can't continue to fly around week by week, he doesn't have the body for it. Instincts and just a good football player with a good dline in front of him, might be special.

CSU looked really good. I shutter to think what last night would've been like without Spruce. Their OL dominated ours, but their RBs are really, really effing good. It has been many years since we saw any CU back hit holes with that kind of power.

Concerned that CSU had all the attitude and swagger last night.

you don't run like that without controlling the LOS. their lines killed us

All of these ^.

They developed swagger in the second half. Their backs are fast and knew where to find the holes, but I don't think they were amazing. But the real problem was our D-Line was dominated and in-effective all night. I was hoping for an adjustment at half time, but as we saw, things got worse because CSU figured out they had an advantage there. That was terrible LB play - positionally, except Gillam, and he over-pursued trying to make up for it. You can't have one guy try to cover a position played by 4 players.

We need a D-Line. I don't know where we'll get it because that takes recruiting. They were simply over matched and I shudder to see what will happen against some of the Pac teams.
