Brian Howell on twitter is reporting that the CU women's assistant basketball coach has been named the head coach of Drake University.

Best of luck to Jennie, now let's see who Lappe can bring in to replace her. Won't be an easy hire. Jennie was CU's recruiting coordinator.

Agreed. Jennie's from Iowa (born there, went to U of I), so this is a homecoming for her too.
 
Good luck Coach Jennie. Very classy lady. She'll do great things for Drake. :) And, yes i agree, she is a great recruiting coordinator. She got my daughter to come to Colorado. :nod:

I had seen on Twitter from Drake that Jennie was going to be the new head coach. I watched her introduction today. She seemed thrilled to be home. Her sister was there. Jennie played on the high school state championship team for West Des Moines Dowling in 2000. I was at that game. She had been recruited to Drake by Lisa Bluder. Bluder moved on to Iowa and Jennie followed her. Sounds like Jennie Lillis was a star for Iowa and I wish her the best at Drake.

She's home to be close to family for the birth of her new baby.
